Hog Wild Specialties is a family-run venture led by Deb and Earl Hagman in the small town of Mayerthorpe, Alberta, Canada.

Since February 1991, they’ve been raising and marketing European wild boar with passion and expertise. With help from their children—Jill, Greg, and Will—over the years, they’ve created a thriving farm that typically houses 300–700 animals at any given time and collaborate with farms across Canada to offer a wide variety of premium, farm-raised products, all rooted in decades of dedication.

Our boars are raised as naturally as possible, without immunizations or growth hormones. To keep them healthy, their diet is supplemented with essential minerals, and they receive parasite control through their feed twice a year. In the summer, they graze freely on pasture with limited grain, while in the winter, their diet consists of alfalfa hay, grain, and silage. Farrowing sows are always given grain to support a strong milk supply for their young.
